RMHC Red Shoe Society:
A Young Professionals Organization
Mission of Group:
Our mission as a young professional society is to support the staff, families, children, volunteers, and donors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston, SC (RMHC-C) and to work towards a greater good in direct association with the health and well-being of children.
Purpose of Group:
The purpose of this group is to engage and connect both existing and future young professionals in the Greater Charleston Area to promote philanthropy and leadership while building a general awareness of RMHC-C that will empower and inspire young professionals to support the endeavors of RMHC-C.
The Red Shoe Society is charged with the task of creating, developing and maintaining a 21-39-aged based organization that is responsible for creating and supporting fundraising events that will generate revenue to support the overall needs of RMHC-C. Members of this society will work to involve the Greater Charleston community through donations of time, money and love to the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston, SC.
Mission of RMHC-C:
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston (RMHCC) provides temporary lodging and support for eligible families of seriously ill children in a home-like environment through the operation of the Ronald McDonald House. RMHCC also provides comfort and support to such families through the Ronald McDonald House Family Room located in the Children’s Hospital at the Medical University of South Carolina. Through both of these settings families are provided a forum to communicate and share experiences with other similarly situated families. RMHCC also supports related programs that improve the health and enhance the lives of children, and relies heavily on the generous support of volunteers and donations from Charleston and surrounding communities.
Red Shoe Society Council Responsibilities
~Pay $48.99 annual dues by January 31 each year
~Attend Red Shoe Society Council Meetings
~Actively Participate in Red Shoe Society Monthly Socials
~Actively Participate in Red Shoe Society Fundraisers and House Projects
~Actively Participate in increasing Red Shoe Society Membership
~Promote and nurture an understanding of and commitment to the mission of both RMHC-C and Red Shoe Society
RMHC Charleston Red Shoe Society:
As a member of the Red Shoe Society, you are asked to pay $48.99 in dues each year and to attend several fundraising, service and social events. Members receive two tickets ($100 value) to the Red Shoe Ball, in addition to discounts and incentives at other Society events. Members also receive a special Red Shoe Lapel Pin that we hope will be worn with pride at our group functions, as well as out in the community. Also, if you have red shoes please wear them to our events as another way to show your support for critically ill children who need the Ronald McDonald House.
